4th of July Fun!

This 4th of July we were determined to see a good fireworks show. While living in Utah we always spent the 4th with Brian's Aunt and Uncle and did our own firework show which was ALWAYS a blast and we missed it terribly, but we were ready to see some REAL fireworks. Last year we actually did everything we could to see the fireworks at South Jordan town days but after sitting in the back of the truck for a few hours we realized they had canceled them :) Anyway, I guess people from GA don't go to Stone Mountain on the 4th because of the insane crowds. So we had many people tell us NOT to go. But we ignored them and went anyway and had a GREAT time!

Of course no trip to Stone Mountain is complete without a ride on the train. Kyler didn't like it this time for some strange reason, hence the classic "stugs" looks.

We played mini golf this time and Kyler acted like he had waited his whole life to get that putter in his hand. HE LOVED IT! From start to finish he never got tired of it, which made it all the more fun for us.

We have been trying for some time to find Quinn a "doggie". Kyler has loved his dog and best friend Hobbes, so the search was on for one for Quinn. We found a match made in heaven, this is Quinn and his new bulldog George. We thought the bulldog was appropriate since Quinn was born in GA.

We were worried about the crowds when we got there because we had to park literally a mile walk away from the entrance to the park. But when we got to the lawn it wasn't crowded at all. We found a nice shady spot, ate our dinner, left our blanket there and proceeded to enjoy all that Stone Mountain has to offer. When we got back to our blanket though, this is what we found. People PACKED shoulder to shoulder as far as the eye could see, it was crazy. Thankfully our blanket did it's job and we had a perfect spot to watch the laser show and fireworks.
